Dr. Emily Bartell is the niece of Dr. Thomas Nelson, who started the practice in 1985 and as of recent has been enjoying his well deserved retirement. Dr. Bartell’s interest in dentistry began in high school when she started working for Dr. Nelson as a dental assistant. Dr. Bartell received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Benedictine University and went on to UIC College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006.
Dr. Bartell is passionate about continuing education and staying up to date with the latest technologies in order to provide her patients with the highest level of care. She is a faculty club member for Spear Education, a Cerec Mentor and a part of a few local study clubs. Dr. Bartell is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry.
When she’s not caring for your teeth, Dr. Bartell enjoys reading books and lying on the beach but there’s not much time for that. Instead, she’s likely chasing golf balls for her young son and cleaning up toys. Above all, Dr. Bartell genuinely loves outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
