Thomas L. Nelson, D.D.S., M.B.A.
Thomas L. Nelson D.D.S., M.B.A. received his B.S. degree in Biology from Western Illinois University. He continued his studies and earned a M.B.A. in 1979. Dr Nelson received his D.D.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He returned home to complete a general practice residency from Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in 1985. Dr. Nelson established his Elmhurst practice in 1985 and continues to practice there today.
Dr. Nelson is a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and is a fellow in the American Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Nelson is married and has two children. During his free time he enjoys reading, outdoor sports and learning to play the piano.
Emily C. Bartell, D.D.S.
Dr. Emily Bartell is the niece of Dr. Nelson. She grew up in the western suburbs and started working for Dr. Nelson as a dental assistant in 1995. Dr. Bartell received a Bachelor degree in Health Science in 2000 from Benedictine University. She went on to UIC College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006.
Dr. Bartell is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also part of the Chicago Public Schools Sealant Program, where she performs preventative dental care and educates children about dental health.
Peter B. Liaros, D.D.S.
Peter B. Liaros D.D.S., a Board Certified Periodontist, received his B.A. in Biology from Indiana University where he was awarded membership into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Dr. Liaros received his D.D.S. degree from Loyola University Dental School. He went on to specialize in Periodontology and completed his Certificate in Periodontics in 1991.
Dr. Liaros holds licenses to practice dentistry in Illinois and Wisconsin. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Illinois Society of Periodontists and the Midwest Society of Periodontology.
Adriana G. Psenica-Yehl, R.D.H., B.S.
Adriana G. Psenica-Yehl is a registered and practicing Dental Hygienist since 1984, and is a clinical instructor at the UIC Dental School since 2004. Mrs. Yehl has been practicing with Dr. Nelson for 24 years. She received her BS in Dental Hygiene and Psychology from Loyola University in 1989.
Her passion and dedication is to help patients become educated and motivated in attaining optimal dental health.
Louise Kopp, R.D.H.
Louise Kopp is a registered and practicing Dental Hygienist since 1996. Ms. Kopp began her journey with Dr. Nelson in 1987 as a Chairside dental assistant. After many fulfilling years, she returned to school and obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene from William Rainey Harper College in 1996.
In her spare time, Louise enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as sailing, watercolor painting, traveling and the occasional murder mystery book. Louise shares her home life with her son Tim and two cats, Avery and Cheerio.
